I hope to one day afford a Grand Seiko. I’m sure it’s MUCH MORE reliable than that piece of 💩 Arnie they produced in 2023.

As someone whos favorite Watch brand by a long shot is Seiko, but doesn't have Grand Seiko type money, Id personally love to see a tour of the normal Seiko factories (im aware it'd most likely be an actual machine run factory) Seiko will forever be my favorite brand, and Grand Seiko especially is one of the best Watch companies world wide by far.

Still not worth 10k+. I'd take one over a Rolex any day though.

I had the honor of meeting Joe at a GS boutique in Beverly Hills CA last week. He was a pleasure to talk to as I showed him my Dec. 1975 Seiko 6139-6005 that I have worn for the past 48 years (he took a photo of my Seiko). He is very knowledgeable and a true gentleman.

Made in Japan 🇯🇵 That’s enough for me to buy and appreciate. Thank you indeed Teddy, for bringing the perfection to our screens!

I have to take issue with the Tornek watch. $900 for a crappy NH35 movement? Really? You can get that movement in a $50 watch and it's within spec if it's 44 Spd fast. And that's not counting the horrendous positional variance which can be 30, 40, 50 Spd different. At that price you'd expect a miyota 9xxx or a Selita movement. I'd rate that watch as a rip-off.

It didn't exist when this was made, but Citizen's new NJ0180 runs circles around the Tsuyosa for a very small price premium. Their Duratect treatment is very, very good. I like the NJ0180 better than the Series 8.

Alot of quartz components in spring drive, didn't realize they just used a covered with cosmetic jewels to make it look more mechanical, alot of plastic in the quartz movement

this episode was somehow more restricted, not showing the process, tools, people working, anything inside the rooms but just explaining the same thing we already know while standing in a lobby!
